TL;DR The Product Reviews module gains optional Advanced Reviews with search, sorting, filters, review cards, and pagination. The Product Rating module can show WooCommerce’s standard stars and count, a numeric summary, a star distribution, or both. Advanced Reviews stays off until enabled, so existing review layouts keep the standard WooCommerce presentation after updating. Someone comparing products may only need to know one thing, such as how an item fits. A long list of reviews can make that detail hard to spot. Release 5.2.0 gives store owners and agencies controls to help visitors find relevant feedback and choose how rating details appear on each product page. Help people find relevant reviews Advanced Reviews adds search, sorting, and filters to the Product Reviews module. Search checks review text and visible company replies, then highlights matching words. Search terms need at least three characters; shorter entries are treated as an empty search. Visitors can sort reviews by most recent, highest rated, or lowest rated. They can filter by star rating, verified purchase, company reply, and date posted. Date choices include all reviews, the last 30 days, 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months. You choose which controls to show on each product page. For example, someone checking whether a product fits can search for fit, look at the matching passages, and sort by lowest rated before making a decision. After a search, the result count appears alongside the active criteria so people can see how the list was narrowed. They can remove a criterion or reset the filters to start over. If nothing matches, you can set the message shown in the empty state. Make reviews easier to scan Advanced Reviews presents WooCommerce reviews in redesigned cards. The reviewer’s name, rating, and date appear together. A verified-purchase badge appears when WooCommerce marks a purchase as verified. A store reply, when present, stays with the review it addresses. WooCommerce does not store a separate title for each review. Advanced Reviews can generate a heading from the opening words of the review text. Set the length from 1 to 50 words; the default is 8. The heading uses the reviewer’s own words. You can also show or hide the section heading. When Advanced Reviews is enabled, a custom heading can use {count} for the number of reviews and {product_title} for the product name. Leave the field empty to keep WooCommerce’s heading. Choose how the list continues Turn pagination on or off, then set the number of reviews shown per page from 1 to 50. Choose Load More to extend the list in place, or Numbered to let readers move between pages. With Load More, you can edit the button label and the progress text, such as 4 of 28. The Content settings also let you edit the Loading, No Results, Reset Filters, Query Error, and Retry labels. This helps you use language that fits your store when results update, no reviews match, or an update fails. Choose the rating display for each product page The Product Rating module now has two independent Content switches: Show Summary and Show Distribution. Leave both off to keep WooCommerce’s standard stars and review count. Turn on Show Summary for the numeric average, or Show Distribution for a five-to-one rating breakdown. Turn on both to show the summary followed by the distribution. You might place a compact summary beside the product title and a distribution lower on the page. The modules are independent, so you can position the rating display and review collection where they fit your layout. The distribution explains the mix of ratings; it does not filter the reviews. The figures use the current product’s approved WooCommerce ratings. The Product Rating module also has a Placeholder setting for products without approved ratings. It shows an empty version of the selected layout without inventing an average or distribution. Match the controls to your design The release adds styling controls for the new review tools. The Filter Panel already has background, spacing, and border controls; this update adds shadow, typography, and checkbox and radio accent color. It also adds a separate Selected Rating Filter Button group. The normal and selected rating filters each have controls for background color, rating-number text, and star color, so you can give the selected choice a distinct treatment. For the new rating displays, Design controls let you adjust the average, review count, distribution text, and bar track and fill colors. The Product Rating module also has a separate placeholder-star color control when its Placeholder setting is enabled. A store owner can match the panel to the store’s design. An agency can make those choices in the product template it builds for each client. Try the features in a product template Advanced Reviews is off by default. To try it, open a product template in the Divi Theme Builder, select the Product Reviews module, and turn on Enable Advanced Reviews. Choose the review controls you want, then adjust their Design settings. To change the rating layout, select the Product Rating module and choose Show Summary, Show Distribution, both, or neither. Preview the result with the Builder’s sample data before saving. WooCommerce remains responsible for review storage, moderation, submission rules, and the native review form. Advanced Reviews changes how reviews are searched and displayed; it does not replace that workflow. Get WooCommerce Builder For Divi New to WooCommerce Builder For Divi?
